Preschool Art – January

Such an adorable photo of James to start of this months art post! Jim said when he got to Busy Bee's to pick James up he was wearing the mask but by the time he got home he refused to put it on for me to see...so Daddy was a good sport and did it instead.

Awesome colorful parrot

Random giraffe colorings

Have had a soft spot in my heart since I made a giraffe cake for James's first birthday party so I of course loved this one. I just noticed tonight when I uploaded this photo that it's poor eye clearly slide down a bit from where it was supposed to be, and ended up right near it's mouth instead! hehehehehe

A creepy looking twisty snake that did hang down from the fan (Jordie loves to watch things go round and round) but was too big and annoyed me after just one day so it got moved to the closet door instead.

One day James came home and was speaking a different language but couldn't tell us what the words meant. A few days later this thankfully made it's way home

Chinese lantern (which is the perfect size and shape to hang off the fan). Funny enough the spider from back in November just came off the fan a few weeks ago :)

Salmon coloring

My funny, adorable, handsome, goofy little boys

Yesterday we had a full-on PJ home day and at supper I took the opportunity to take some random photos of my boys. I keep trying to get Jordie to do grumpy face like James did but he isn't quite there yet!

Here are the collages I created with the photos.

Preschool Show & Tell – Week 19

James has been a really good boy lately when we are out running errands like grocery shopping or Wal-Mart. We were in Save-On the other day and I noticed a new Bubble Guppies book that we didn't have and I'd never seen before so I bought it for him. I realized after that it is based off one of the episodes that we haven't seen in awhile but it has since come back onto the scene at our house. I really do love the Bubble Guppies and want to keep having babies so this show sticks around my house for a long time :)

This week's S&T item was of course the Bubble Pirates book.

Two Jordie firsts ~ Swings and Swimming

When Jim was home this past month we knew there were some fun things we wanted to do with Jordie that we hadn't done yet and both things I could have done while he was away but really wanted Daddy to be part of the fun.

So, on my birthday we headed off to Willingdon to enjoy our favorite playground. We got lucky that it was a nice day so we also did a walk down the trail while we were there.

Here's the happy little guy enjoying his first time on the swings with his big brother and his Daddy helping him out!

A few days later while James was at school one afternoon we took Jordie to the Complex to go swimming for the first time. I wasn't surprised that he loved it as he loves his bath time too. Thankfully my mom can appreciate my need to have photos of this fun time so she met us there so she could take some shots for us. Thanks so much Mom for being the being the very best Nana around and for helping me to achieve my dreams of having photos of some of my favorite fun things we do, but with me being able to be IN some of the photos too! So often our family memories are captured by me, but sometimes I like to be in the moment and have me in the photos too :o)
