26/52 - A Portrait a Week

Wow, halfway through the year already! I can't believe that we started the year with just one little boy and now have two to take photos of...and trust me, I still take a TON of photos now that I have two. They are, after all, only little for so long :o)

My handsome, dirty breakfast face boy, James!

My cuddly, chubby little baby boy, Jordan!

James asks to hold Jordan at least once or twice a day, usually when he's eating, sleeping or fussy of course. Luckily last night he asked when Jordy was happy and content.

I just have to say it...I LOVE being a Mommy of two!

Do they or do they not look alike?

I've been curious to see how similar or different the boys are looking so did a quick little photo collage side by side of them with their bears. What do you think? Similar or different?

Jordan's Monthly Photos with Harris

Harris is the adorable Australian bear that was given to us by our niece Tyanna for the new baby. When we were pregnant with James she gave us a bear and it became his monthly growth buddy and we faithfully took his pictures and they are some of our favorites from the first year of his life. Tyanna named him Freedo and he now sits on James's headboard in a place of honor, now only brought out on his birthday (or in the case of James this year it was a few days after his 3rd birthday!) for his photo to be taken. I wonder how many years my boys will let me take photos with these bears on their birthdays?!?!

Just 4 days before my scheduled c-section for this pregnancy I was chatting with T from Australia and she mentioned she had seen my blog post with the photo of my painted belly with my old cabbage patch dolls and that we weren't allowed to use those dolls. I asked her why and she sent this adorable photo of her with Harris bear.

I said it was great that she had bought the baby a new bear but there was no way we would get the bear in time for baby's birth as we were just days away now. To which she replied that the bear was actually already here in PR with her mom; she had had her friend bring it back with her from Australia a few weeks before. It was going to be a surprise but when she saw that I had something different planned for the baby's monthly photos she decided to tell me about him.

So, Harris was packed in the hospital bag because this time I knew I wanted a birth day photo taken with the bear as a starting point. As the days ticked by closer to June 23 and Jordan's 1 month I grew excited to take the first photo and to post it both here and on FB. In the next few days I'll post a few of my favorite shots from his first month, as well as some fun facts about him.

Each month I'll  post all of the photos in order so everyone can see how much he has changed from one month to the next.

Pregnant with Friends...Part 3

Now we're two babies down and just one still left to be born!

3 Preggos

2 Preggos, 1 Baby

2 Babies, 1 Preggo

Baby Maddie is now 12 weeks old, Jordan is 4 weeks and Theresa is 35 weeks along! Just a few more weeks until we see whether Maddie has another boyfriend or Jordan has another girlfriend! I hope for the Slacks they have their little girl but know that they will be so thrilled with another little boy too. Miss Maddie may end up alone with a bunch of protective big "brothers" to watch over her! :o)

25/52 - A Portrait a Week

My big guy with his owie on his eye from Daddy's hockey stick.

More gas smiles from Jordy!

This weeks heart melting moment was for sure when James asked me if he could feed Jordan his nighttime bottle. He really is such a good big brother!

Family photos by Richard Giordano

Back in September I posted some awesome family photos taken by a guy named Richard. He is from PR but lives in the city and comes home to visit his parents often. A few months ago I emailed him and asked whether he would be up for a visit sometime in early June and he said yes he was planning a trip around that time and would love to take some pics of us with our newborn baby. I really wanted the pics to be relaxed and at home in our house with all of us just in sweatpants and comfy clothes. I love how they turned out and so happy he agreed to come up and take them for us. Now that we got pictures done before baby, on his birth day and now these ones, I can safely say we are done with family photos until at least the fall! I am one of those people that absolutely LOVE having recent family photos and memories for my walls, my family calendar and of course my blog :o)
