These days these two go back and forth between being best buddies and mortal enemies. They have shared a room for almost 5 years now and it is definitely time to separate them. They still get along pretty good compared to some siblings, but I do think our home will run a lot smoother with them in separate spaces! Chores like getting ready for school or bed, putting laundry away, keeping the room clean (it's not mine, it's HIS) will all become easier once these two are separated by a whole floor. It's not like they fight constantly....lots of times it's just harmless jacking around and wasting time, but either way it's frustrating and time consuming having to nag them to stay away from each other.
I do see a fair amount of brother sleepovers in the future too though. And a certain little sister sneaking in to sleep on an empty bunk bed too! :)
Here is a cute snap of these two playing Guess Who together while their sister was in dance class the other day. I love seeing these moments still happening at 9 and 6 years old and I hope they continue on for many more years to come!
