Christmas 2014 ~ Travelling home and visiting with the Reimers

We had waited and hoped and prayed for a big snowfall while we were at Uncle Ron's and it just didn't happen. On the morning we went to leave this is what we saw outside. It started to snow and it snowed all the way to Hope!

This picture is just too cute and reminds me why we all love Uncle Ron.
Jordie was dying to get outside and we were all scrambling trying to get everything packed and put away so he had his boots on and was at the door whining and who came to rescue him...Uncle Ronnie! As soon as he asked him if he wanted to go outside he just reached his little hand up to reach his and off they went. Here he is trying to teach Jordie how to catch a snowflake on his tongue.

Uncle Ron attempted to bring him inside again....

....but Jordie was having none of that. He was pointing at the other side of the patio where he wanted Uncle Ron to take him

And of course he DID it! I love this picture of Uncle Ron again showing him how to catch a snowflake...and look how Jordie is just looking up at him.

And here he is doing it himself! TOO CUTE! I really wish we had had at least one good day of snow when we were there so the boys could have done some sledding and had some fun, but it just didn't happen. Uncle Ron says it's snowed pretty much every single day since we were there and they have almost 2 feet of it now! We are cursed I tell you. We went to Alberta for Christmas one year too hoping for snow and that year there was none there either!

It was time to say goodbye to Uncle Ron and say thanks so much for having us, especially with our sicknesses and everything!

We stopped in Princeton for lunch and this was Jordie going to town on his burger. This is pretty much how he eats everything!

The crazy kid hates having socks and boots or shoes on in the van. As soon as we get moving he kicks them off...but he does love having a blanket to snuggle up with. He is so his father's son!

I love this photo of James

Almost to the Reimer's now!

hehehehehe...Uncle Chris told him NO sternly when he was throwing a ball in the house and this is what happened every single time he went anywhere near him for the 18 hours while we were there.

Cheeky little smiles from our littlest monster

See what I mean...every time Chris held him he would get the big bottom lip quiver going

But then was totally fine with me and everyone else

I took probably 10 shots and this was the best one, but clearly they are all looking
at Nana instead of at me!

And a few cute ones of James and Olivia too. I don't know what was up with Livie but she just didn't want to smile normally for me!

By the time we got to Ryan and Sam's house on Sunday we were all just tired and ready for an early night. This is the only photo I took that night that I like so this is the end of our Christmas vacation trip! Overall we had a good time, filled with family, food and visiting.
