Christmas 2014 - Boxing Day, Ron & Don's 50th Birthday Party

Boxing Day started off with some house cleaning because we all knew (except Uncle Ron) that there was a surprise joint 50th birthday party planned for that evening for him and his best friend (and nephew-in-law Don)!

Here is Jordie just watching what was going on. This was the day that he turned a bit of a corner and was starting to look and feel a bit more like himself

And in the span of a month the kid has gone from hating the vacuum to wanting to help anytime one comes out. It's really cute.

And of course James is always up for helping with anything

After cleaning it was back to some more game playing. Jordie was pumped to be able to "play" too!

This was such a cute moment that I wished I had caught on film. Jordie was sitting there and Uncle Ron was up getting a coffee or something and when he walked back over towards the couch Jordie looked up and him and actually patted the couch beside him telling him to sit back down. It was so cute and we all laughed and giggled at how well Jordie can express what he wants without saying a single word!

These two were best buddies of course

Jordie even got to take the remote control with him for his nap...and this is how I found him!

there on Boxing Day instead.

The two birthday boys! Happy 50th Birthdays to Donnie and Ronnie! These two started out as friends and have ended up as family.

Another fine example of great parenting. I swear if James ever does this to me if I ask him to smile for a photo I will kill his father!

This kid is seriously so cute with his chubby cheeks. I just love him!

And this guy is pretty cute too, even if he absolutely refuses to smile 98% of the time

Awesome...and now we're starting it really young!

This is how Jordie shows his affection, by laying his head on you somewhere. Usually it's your shoulder or your head, but this time it was Uncle Ben's leg.

And back to the head patting and rubbing that he has been doing to show his affection. He doesn't really like to hug, but patting, rubbing and laying his head on you are his ways of doing it.

Trying to get a good picture of these three was nearly impossible. My mom was at the hospital with my dad so we didn't get any pictures of the 4 of them all together.
