September friends camping trip with the T's and S's!

Wow, it only took me two months to get this post done. Between being pregnant and working full-time now I am certainly feeling a lot less energetic in the evenings and instead of blogging as I had been I am often staring at the TV trying to stay awake for 1 or 2 shows and then going straight to bed. So, I'm trying to use my weekends to do at least some blogging and this weekend I was determined to get this post done...and it was almost done until the frigging website didn't save any of my stuff...and I lost it all. That was last weekend...so, here goes attempt #2 to get this post done!

This was the #1 activity of the weekend..LEGO building! The kids loved it and I'm glad I grabbed the 2 bins right as we ran out the door!

And this was the guy's #1 activity, sitting by the fire just bullshitting

Morning bike riding

And some sitting near the fire too

Dane attempting to chop some fire wood

More Lego playing!

Playing some frisbee in their PJ's

And more bike riding...the park was virtually empty so the kids could pretty much roam free as long as they stuck together. We only lost Jordie once...one of the scariest times of my life. Thankfully someone found him and brought him back to us as we were frantically searching for him!

On Saturday afternoon these guys went for a hike

And here are the pictures from their hike....sorry if they aren't in order guys!

Back at the camp and Jim and I took the kids to the playground and field to play some baseball.

Yeah I can see why she likes him better than me! She knows she has him wrapped around her little finger! He pushed her on the swing any time she asked and then he helped her play ball too.

Adorable smile from Kaleb

More bike riding!

This was the night that we realized that the heater in our trailer did work...even though the previous owners thought it didn't!

Saturday night fire

And some selfies and smore eating

For some reason this kid lived in his bike helmet for most of every weekend that we were camping

Sunday morning the kids were loving feeding the squirrel (or maybe it was a chipmunk?) that frequented our camp

Kevin figuring out what play list to put on.

A few pictures of our camp set up for the weekend. This is our trailer

And the view from the road looking into the site. It was definitely more than big enough for the 3 families to share, and in walking around we realized there were lots more sites there that will fit us all again next year!

That's the Tassell's just in front of ours

The Slacks trailer

Before lunch on Sunday we headed to the beach for a swim and some fun family time in the sun!

Ouch...James fell right on his forehead on the rocks...this bruise was wicked a few days later!

KD lunch that Uncle Kevin made while we were all at the beach.

A little last Lego building while the parents were cleaning up. This was Linden's boat he built

James's creation

And Dane's creation!

The boys

And here's Jaxon with his too!

This turned out even better than I could have hoped it would! I'm surprised that all of the kids were looking and smiling at the same time!

And a great one of the kids too!

Funny faces...except for the one little lady who just kept smiling!

And one of each family right before they left

Totally blurry but this was the sight before we even hit the gate....Jordie was sound asleep!

This ended up being such a fun camping weekend for us, with two of our favorite families to hang out. I really hope that next summer allows us even more camping fun with the Slacks and Tassells...and I hope they are ready for the fun and craziness of camping with a newborn!
