Post #800....and over 100,000 page views!
I love this blog and have honestly missed it so much, but life has just been happening at a rapid pace since having Kennedy back in April that I haven't even been on my computer much at all. I actually finally downloaded some of the 8,000 photos off my phone today and realized I hadn't even downloaded them since June! CRAZY and so not like me.
This blog started as a way to just keep my kids memories safe, but it's become so much more than that. It's a creative release and somewhere for me to share my thoughts and feelings too. I regularly have people comment that they read it and I love that. I also have friends that tell me that they don't read it at all...and I'm totally fine with that too. I don't write the posts and share the photos for anyone but me and our out of town family that says they love to read them. I am honored every time I log onto here and see that a post has been viewed more than 100 times, or 200 times. It blows my mind and makes me grateful for people that love and care about us and want to see what we are up to. I do plan to get the backlog of blogs done and caught up in the next month (hopefully!).

For now...I'll leave this post with a couple adorable photos of my three loves from some of our summer adventures!

Crafts for the kids room/finally a new post!
I've been doing this blog for more than 3 years and I don't think I've ever gone a full month without a single post...until now that is. I guess the whole summer full of 3 kids has put a damper on my creativity and desire to sit on my computer. I haven't posted in 6 weeks but I was determined to do one tonight so that I didn't end up with a month with 0 posts in it. I do plan to get caught up in the next month so you may see a whole lot of baby Kennedy and our summer adventures in the next few weeks.
For now...here are the name block crafts I did for the kids rooms. Once I have Kennedy's nursery totally complete I will post about that too. It's so close and I am very hopeful that by next Friday it will be done (so she can finally move in there!)
So, here they are! First up is a big block with the kids nicknames on them.
And then two smaller blocks on top that list their birth dates and birth weights. I took this idea from Pinterest and just made it my own. The colors of them match their rooms.
aaaaaawwwww it feels good to post! I really have to just spend a few hours on the evenings that Jim is working afternoon shift and just get some done. I'm hoping that now that the craziness of the summer is over that things will settle down a little bit!
PS: Who am I kidding? We're the Barrows Family and we are always running in 10 different directions and come mid-September we will have karate for James, hockey for both boys, skating lessons for Jordie, basketball for James and swimming lessons for all 3 kids :) I love being busy!

Jordie's 4th Birthday Party
I asked Jordie what kind of party he wanted and he said Spider-Man and then I asked him what he thought of a camping birthday party over the long weekend and he was all good with that too so off we went. And what resulted was the easiest (and one of the most fun) birthday parties that the Barrows family has ever thrown. And if you know me...you know I don't usually go small or quiet for birthday parties (does anyone remember the Angry Birds or Bubble Guppies parties?) Having a new baby and a 4 year old who could really care less about a party made the decision super easy and in the end he had so much fun and was surrounded by his most favorite people and that's what matters most.
Cake time!
Here is my little almost 4 year old just before his Reimer cousins arrived for the party. That was another reason we did the party on the long weekend because I knew they were coming to visit.
Oh and Uncle Ben was in town too so he came up with Nana and Papa to celebrate
This little boy Calyx was the only boy from the preschool that we invited that came. All of the rest of the kids were kids that we were either camping with or were our friends kids.
The kids loved the easiness of the just having hot dogs, snacks and salads

We were very fortunate and grateful to my mom for her help with the food for the party. She brought up some fresh veggies and huge potato and macaroni salads (even though she asked if she could bring up "small" salads to help!) As always, people loved them and they were a great addition to the hot dogs and smokies we had.

Cousin love!
Jordie randomly came up to me during the party and told me that I "had to go right now and take a picture of Uncle Ben" So I did.
And then one of the two of them together too of course
This is Jordie's crazy eyes photo face these days
ahahahahaha...a bit better...but still a bit crazy!
Old cold Kennedy
Cake time!
The kids were so well behaved waiting in line for the cake (which was super yummy!)

A great big THANK YOU to all of our family and friends for joining us in celebrating the joyous life our little Jordie boy. I can't believe he's 4 already! Next year he'll be starting Kindergarten and will be turning 5. How is that possible already? Time can slow down a little bit now!
