A weekend just to be me

My best friend Melanie had twin boys back on February 9th and I couldn't wait to get out there and meet them and snuggle them, and just generally have a really good visit with Mel and Darren. It seems like forever since we really got caught up! I asked her if it would be okay if I came out for a visit and she said I was welcome anytime, so that very day I booked my flights (which I got for super cheap!) and two weeks later I was on my way to meet Colby and Mason!

My trip there was a bit of a nightmare with 3 hours of flight delays with WestJet and an extra long wait at the airport because I didn't know about the delays until I got to the airport. If I had known I could have taken the noon ferry over to Comox and only had to wait a few hours...instead of the 8 hours I spent!

Oh well, I had my computer, my music and my photos and I did some blogging and watching some shows and just did something I rarely do anymore....just be by myself! And it was awesome! My back was killing me from sitting for so long, but otherwise I quite enjoyed my day at the airport.

I got to Sherwood Park around 9:30 pm and I couldn't wait to get my hands on those babies, and for the next 3 days that's pretty much all I did. Snuggle, feed, change, repeat. That's pretty much all they do at that age and I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!

I was away from my two kids which is rare for me but was just the break I was needing. I missed them a little bit and they say they missed me, but I don't believe it. They loved their Daddy and Nana and Papa time :)

Anyways, here are the few pictures I did take when I was there. I really just spent the majority of my time hanging out holding them and chatting with Melanie.

Starting off with the handsome and happily sleeping Mason

And the equally as adorable Colby

Both sleeping together on the pillow on the floor

Mason and I got up one morning while Colby and Mommy had a little morning sleep in

These snuggles were so amazing

Different sleeper but same snuggly baby

He's awake and such a happy little guy

I think he was about to cry at me because I was taking his picture instead of getting him dressed for eating time!

I love his little frowny face...he's just the cutest thing!

Absolutely nothing better in the world than this

hehehehehehe....oh Mason!

A sleeping peacefully Colby is not to be disturbed!

Slowly waking up!

The only picture we took of the 4 of us!

Napping together! Won't be long till their too big to share the playpen

Now awake and catching me staring at them

More smiles from Mason man

Can you tell I did a lot of baby snuggling while I was there?

And of course I couldn't forget Oscar!

Thanks so much to Mel, Darren, Mason, Colby and Oscar for having me!
