The highlight of our day!

We had a little bit of time today while we were in Vancouver and we were absolutely thrilled to be able to get together with Jim's sister Melony and her new hubby Gord for some yummy brunch at White Spot. The boys and I haven't seen her since she came up to visit for James's 3rd Birthday party (so about 2 months before Jordan was born) but Jim had seen her a bunch when he was flying back and forth to Alberta for work. It was such a great visit and we really couldn't be happier for her that she has found her forever love in her wonderful husband Gord. We wish them nothing but the absolute best for this year...and for the forever that they will be together! Love you guys!

Congratulations are in order!

Today, my brothers and I (and our families) were invited to a family gathering at our dad's girlfriend Graces's house. We were all pretty sure we knew what we were going for and in the end we were totally right! 

Dad and Grace have been together since May and when we met her for the first time at my aunt and uncles cabin we all fell in love with her from the first moment. 

She is a genuinely sweet and kind lady who treats him very well and they seem really really happy together and that's all anyone can ask for! 

Today we were honoured to be part of his engagement to this wonderful lady! 

Don't mind the crappy photo, it's just a picture of my camera because I'm in a hotel and didn't bring my computer with me. 

And that smiling little girl in the front is Sophia. She is the light of Grace's eye and is her 7 year old granddaughter. 

I'll make sure to do another post when we get home with the real photos. Until then this is all I've got!

Long time friends

I've been friends with this girl since I was 10 years old and she was just the cutest little 7 year old in the world. She has the most adorable little baby girl named Sloan that I had the honor of meeting tonight at our Burton/Reimer kid reunion party at my parents house. More great photos of this party to be posted after our little trip to Vancouver tomorrow!

Love you Diana and it was so great to have a visit tonight and to meet your little lady!

Merry Christmas from us to you!

 A wonderful day spent with our family celebrating Christmas! Both James and Jordan had such a great day. They loved their gifts and loved spending quality time with their Reimer cousins, as well as snuggles and hugs with Auntie Tana and Uncle Cody visiting from Saskatchewan!

2015 Santa Photos

These photos turned out really good this year! This is a tradition that we will continue to do for as long as we can bribe our boys to do it. Either way me and Jimmy will continue to go every year as we have the entire 12 years we've been together!

Seriously...Jordie LOVED Santa this year. He cried last year but this year he ran right up to him and couldn't wait to give him a hug and sit on his lap.

I think we're aging okay...I really gotta find all of our photos for one big post! 

And of course we got one with the whole family too! Just missing Uncle Ben who just got here at supper time tonight. 

We love when the Reimer kids come to visit

Just one of the adorable swimming photos we got yesterday! The boys are loving having Cassidy, Jacob and Olivia here for Christmas this year and I am too. Tonight is the 3rd night of having an extra kid here and we love spending some quality time with each of the children one by one. First was Olivia, then Cassidy last night and Jacob tonight. The boys were excited tonight that Jacob was here and sharing their room with them! Tomorrow we're going to hang out at home in the morning and watch a movie and start the lasagna for our big Christmas Eve dinner at Nana and Papa's house. I've got lots more photos to share of our fun times with these munchkins!
