Glasses unite!
Big development this week for the Barrows family...the glasses wearers now outnumber the non! Since Covid hit I've noticed my vision being almost blurry or fuzzy when trying to read anything. Once things started to open up again I got my eyes tested and don't you know...I need glasses too. James was so excited that I would look like him and he would look like me again :)
I love this picture of James and I in our "matching" glasses. I tried on probably 25 pairs and these were the only ones I loved. I wished they were a lighter frame color but that's all they had available. I'm hoping to order some new ones online so let me know your favorite online glasses sites.
This guy was sad when he first saw them on me because he said I just didn't look like me anymore. :(
And it's silly but now I'm kind of sad that this one won't look as much like me in pictures anymore either! It's an odd mix of emotions all around about these things!
It's interesting figuring out how to take pictures without the glare on them!

We picked the wrong time to go for a walk....
....right when the rain started coming down! Our play time got cut a little bit but it was great to get outside and enjoy the school playground. This weather can seriously piss off anytime. Everyone knows that I don't love the heat of summer, but I do love the 20C days a lot. I love sun and warm, rather than sun and smoking hot. Right now I'd settle for just not raining and grey! Hope this means we'll have a longer summer season than most years.
On a side note - anyone know someone that can build a few more wooden structures like this for us for the school? We have talked about possibly putting more wood structures up in another area of the school for more play areas for the kids. Let me know if you know someone!

Weekly snapshots of the Barrows family
Now that I've got a new system in place for getting photos onto this blog I am committed to doing more random photo posts with no concern to date order or captions. I take so many photos and so many never get shared. I love these posts just so in the future I will be able to look back and see my kids at every stage of their life. Just like with each of my kids, there are always more of the youngest and far less of the oldest one who tends to do his own thing more and more these days so I'm starting off this post with a photo of him and his daddy at the ball park the other night!

Sunday afternoon playdates with Mom and Dad!
Jim and I decided on Sunday to take the afternoon and have some fun with the kids. Jim has been working a bunch of overtime lately and we felt that we haven't had much time to do fun things with them. I took Kennedy to airplane park, then Willingdon beach while Jim took the boys out to Myrtle Point to hit some balls. Then we met up at Putters for some before dinner ice cream :)
Then we stopped at Nana and Papa's to check out the new gazebo being built on the deck!
