Halloween Weekend 2015

Here they are! James as a blue Ninja and Jordan as Marshall from Paw Patrol

He was very excited to try on his costume. I have to say that the face mask creeped me out totally! I much preferred it once he took it off!

No masks allowed at school

Jordie and I were going to Strong Start so he wore his costume too

In James's class he just makes himself really comfy while I say goodbye to James

Jaxon in the circle telling everyone about his costume

Jordie got to sit in the circle too (he was SO EXCITED!)

After Strong Start it was off to the grocery store for me and Marshall

Such a big helper!

After school we picked up the huge pumpkin from Mrs. Butula's class and took it to Kirk's house (this little guy broke his leg at school the week before).

Bringing it down the hall from the gym to the classroom

Another photo of Jaxon as SuperMan!

On Friday night we went over to the Slack's house for supper and then we go started on our milk jug lanterns. We decided to give it a shot and see how they turned out.

Here are Linden, James and Dane concentrating hard

Jordie too

And the newest little leftie in the group, Kaleb!

I love this picture of Dane!

Notice the Sharpie on his face!

The finished products!

After dinner Theresa and I took the big kids out to the Halloween Carnival at James Thompson

Playing some games

Waiting to go through the Enchanted Forest

James decided after about a 15 minute wait and only one more group to go ahead of us that he didn't want to do it...so we went back inside instead!

More games

And we got to see James's baseball girlfriend Madeline

And even though he had already eaten a big dinner he of course wanted a hot dog

Pretty happy with himself

Halloween afternoon and we're on in our costumes and about to head out

The blue ninja very happy with his new cutlass that Daddy bought him

And a very clearly saying "cheese" Jordie

Putting the glow sticks into our milk jug lanterns

James looks creepy to me in this photo!

Here they were all finished

And we're in the van and off we go

First stop...Nana and Papa's

Jordie checking out Alex in the same Marshall costume

Seriously, could these two be any cuter??

And of course had to get one with James too

Snacking on some Goldfish before we got going

And had to get some snuggles in with Patrick too!

This one is so cute of Alex and Patrick

Yearly family photo before heading out.

Jim and I decided that we'll just switch costumes every year!

James really wanted one of him and Jordie but Jordie wasn't into it at all

The first house they hit across the street from N&P's

He fell hard on the sidewalk but then noticed the Smarties in his bucket so he was okay

This is the blur of James running to hug Mrs. Butula (yes his Kindergarten teacher lives right across the street from my parents!)

Saying hi to Mr. Butula

Getting some BIG chocolate treats

Family photo in front of the second huge pumpkin that the Butula's grew

James and the wonderful Brenda Butula!

And we're off to the car to drive to our other stops

I love this action shot!

Next up was Dot's house (we've been going here since James's second Halloween and we love our yearly chat with her!)

James was so excited

Dot said the boys made her whole month. We haven't seen her for quite awhile so it was great to have a little visit.

The mask was gone by this point!

Hugs

Running around playing while we chatted

Back in the car and headed to Keith and Sheri's house

And then to Auntie Michele's house

He loved the balloon but cried at the skeleton witch in the cage

Always good to see Auntie Michele!

He's loving trick or treating and just wants to keep going!

Back on Jasper Street now and this little guy has a runny nose, is fading fast and keeps saying
"Mama Up!"

Me and my boys

A few more houses

Back at Nana and Papa's and this time to the front door to get their candy!

Then downstairs to see Auntie Mowat & Uncle Larry

See, he's just done!

Getting cards from Nana along with their treats

Nana reading him his card

Now he's happy....he's eating chocolate!

Snuggles with my boy!

So happy

Helping Nana give out some candy to the few trick or treaters they got.

And one last selfie with my ninja boy!

Here were our milk jug lanterns when we got home! Not bad but next year I'll try them with the white Christmas lights in them instead and see if they look better :)

Another Halloween over and done with! Now moving onto my favorite holiday season!
