Our big boy turned 3...with family, friends and some Angry Birds

As promised, below are a bunch of photos and videos from James's big 3rd birthday weekend. We were so fortunate to have Jim's dad and siblings join us for the party and to celebrate our little man. It was only the 3rd time we've all been together since meeting Jim's half sister Melony 3 years ago and you could tell how happy Colin was to have his 3 kids and his grandson with him to celebrate his birthday too. For those that don't know, James was born on Colin's 60th Birthday so they share their special day :o)

We are so blessed and fortunate to have such wonderful friends and family around us. To my parents who lovingly let us host James's party at their house, to our friends who came out in full force with 4 big kids, 4 toddlers and 4 new babies too! As my father-in-law said to me at the party "it looks like you and your friends are populating Powell River alone!" He couldn't believe seeing so many babies and 3 pregnant mommies as well!

A WONDERFUL Daddy who set this up time after time again so all the kids got a fair amount of turns at knocking it down! 

Let the game begin! This was by far the best Pinterest idea I found for the party and so happy with how it turned out. Would have been nice if it could have been outside but with the snow the night before that wasn't going to happen! 

Such a big helper when setting the game back up again for the next round!

Pretty much his favorite present from the whole day...a brand new Angry Birds backpack! He put it right on and started talking about how it was time to go to school, on the bus no less!

Time for cupcakes. A drastic change from last year when he didn't want anyone to sing to him at all. This year he started yelling at everyone to clap as soon as they were done singing!

 

Best line of the party "Mom, can I have the red one because it matches my shirt?"
