First Kings game of the season was a huge success for the Barrows boys! James loved it even more this year and was able to actually concentrate and watch the game. His favorite mascot Rocco (last year he was half scared/half loved) was around and he waved at him and gave him a high five...and then promptly looked and me and said "Mommy, he's my best bud". Our friend Lisa got him a cowbell which he used frequently and loudly throughout the final 2 periods and he had a total blast. Jordan did great, he ate, smiled and looked around, snuggled and slept, then woke up and only totally lost it in the last 5 minutes of the game. We took 2 vehicles tonight so him and I avoided the crowds and made it home and into PJ's just as the other two made it home. Overall a great night!
Ready to go!
Very serious looking but a happy boy hanging out at his first hockey game. I have a very similar picture of James at his first game but he was almost 4 months older.
He was sleepy and doesn't really like to be held and snuggled when he's like that so he just laid on my lap and watched the players skate by him.
Even with the loud noise he managed to sleep through most of the second period.
Talking to Lisa about the game and the cowbell she had just given to him.
Oh yes, he sure rang that thing a lot and it kept him very occupied. Now the trick is to keep it away at 6 am (which is why the first one we have for him was taken away!!)
