Fall fun
I love my husband. He is so good with James and loves being outside with him. This morning I called over to my parents where they were staying (I stayed at home last night) and was surprised when no one answered at 9:30am. I finally heard from them at 10:15 when they came inside for a pee break. When I got here at 10:30 my son was happier than a pig in poo, dirty and wet from the grass but happier than I've seen in days. He thrives on being outside, especially when it comes to his T-ball set, soccer ball and playing with his Daddy. I of course got out the camera and took some photos and an awesome video of them cleaning up the leaves in Nana and Papa's yard.
Jumping out of the leaves to "surprise" me.
Instead of high fives we are now doing high two's!
The kids got a pretty wicked arm already!
Time to put him to work raking the leaves again!
Pushing Daddy over...and loving every second of it!
And a super cute video too!

Halloween
Anyone who knew me before I became a mother knew how much I hated Halloween. Ever since the year my parents split up and it was pouring rain and my mom took me to dinner at my favorite restaurant and got me the candy I wanted, I have not liked Halloween. It's never been a secret that my mom doesn't like it either and I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree! I hate scary movies, haunted houses and anything with any kind of creepiness to it. In the years before I had James I was sure I would never again like it, but I was wrong, becoming a Mommy opened my heart and mind to try and enjoy this crazy made up holiday! I've even gotten dressed up the past two years since I've worked at the Peak.
Overall it was a great Halloween and I'm already really looking forward to next year!
Here's a few pictures from the night James tried on his super adorable
Lightning McQueen racecar driver costume.

Maegan and I all dressed up in our fishing/hunting gear for Halloween day at the Peak.

Trick or treating at our friend's houses
Was in the neighbourhood so stopped and saw Ted Rodonets and his awesome Halloween set-up.
I have so many great memories of Halloweens as a young teen spent with Jan & Ted's daughter Jody. So great to have my son be able to participate in something I did love about Halloween when I was younger.

Had to hit up Nana's for just one more handful of candy before heading home.
One last stop at the Tassell's, he is seconds away from crying here because the fireworks had started and he was scared.
Home now and ready to eat supper, have a bath, read stories and go to bed!
Our only two little trick or treaters, Cora and Jaxon. James was so cute handing them the candy bowl and telling Cora "I like your wings"

How the heck did he get to be 2.5 already??
Last week James turned 2 and a half and I can't believe how fast time has flown by. He is now just over 30 pounds and not sure how tall he is. Keep reminding myself to measure him but keep forgetting to do it!!
He is a funny, handsome and cheeky little creature that definitely keeps us on our toes every single day. We are getting there on potty training and hope to be done completely in the coming months. He is a very loving and happy little boy that is always willing to give hugs, high fives and first bumps.
I love this kid seriously more than I've ever loved anyone in my whole life. He is my whole world and I am so proud of the job we've done this far to make him into a great little human being.
Take a little trip with me down memory lane of his monthly photos with Freedo the bear. Because he just turned 2.5 we took our most recent pics with him. Now we will only do them every year on his birthday.

Happy Thanksgiving
It is early in the morning on Thanksgiving Day and Sunday's are my days to get up with monster so here I sit, tea already drank, all my regular websites checked and already been awake for over an hour, so decided I would write a new post. I'm on a roll this week, this will be my 3rd post!
Here is a list that I am thankful for (in no particular order):
* My wonderful, loving, supportive hubby Jim.
* My funny as hell, adorable, handsome son James.
* My supportive and always there best friend, my Mom.
* My laid back and loving Dad.
* My texting buddy, my "we've grown to love each" sister Andra.
* My brothers who I don't get to see or talk to nearly enough, Chris & Ben.
* All of my nieces and nephews (too many to list out)
* My brothers and sisters in law.
* My extended family, including my in-laws.
* My health. This one has come at a price over the years and I am hopeful that with the surgery that I had two years ago that my Crohn's disease will stay away for many years to come.
* My job and coworkers. In a town like Powell River having a stable, respectful, team environment for a job is something I wondered if I would ever find, and am so relieved that I have.
* My group of friends. From new Mommy friends to old high school friends and their hubbies, I feel very blessed to have such wonderful friends to raise my kids with.
* My home and nice things. We have worked hard over the years to have nice things, and are very proud of the financial decisions we have made that led us to where we are today.
There is just a few of the many many things that I am thankful for! Here are a few photos that I came across in the past few days as I've been backing up my old external hard drive to a new one. I will feel better when all 39,000ish photos that I have are stored safely in two places!!
